Lifted

Well, my brother and I managed to install the new suspension parts over the weekend. We installed the Donahoe Racing Coilovers on Friday night. The only issue there was fitting the new longer shock into the lower control arm. We had read that some people temporarily disconnect the sway bar the get it to fit. We opted to use a bottle jack in between the wheel well and the upper control arm. We just jacked it down and then it was easy.

On Saturday, we wrestled the new leaf springs from Deaver onto the truck as well as the new Bilstein 5125 shocks. This could be described as not difficult, but there were several "tests of strength" where stubborn bolts refused to release themselves. It was a good thing we had a breaker bar handy. We also found we needed 21mm and 19mm long sockets. Both of which we didn't have so we were slowed down by 2 trips to the hardware store.

After all of this I got an alignment and it turned out the passenger side toe was way off, but other than that everything was in spec.

I'll add links to photos here soon when I get them pulled off the card. It's time to order some wheels and tires now.
