Using the Nokia 8801 with Cingular
This is for the other nuts that have a Nokia 8801 even though they aren't available through any carrier. If you use Cingular then this should help you get the proper connection settings for your nokia 8801:
1) Go to www.nokia.com/phonesettings and enter in your info for the standard setup. Nokia will send your phone the configuration for Cingular in a few minutes. All you need to do is accept when it arrives and enter ina 4 digit pin that the website gives you. At this point your MMS will work but not your GPRS connection.
2) To get your internet connection working, go into the Web config ( Menu->Web->Settings->Configuration Settings ) . Then change Account to use "Cingular GPRS" instead of "Cingular ISPGPRS".
That's it! Now your 8801 should be able to send email and web browse.
