Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Demo on your PS3

Apparently, I’m the last one to realize that this demo is not available for US users, which the articles never mention. The demo is only for user’s in Japan because no work has been done on localization. However, Sony is quite liberal with the definition of a “user in Japan”. It turns out that you can create an account that qualifies as user Japan, if you can navigate through the menus correctly. Once that’s done, you’ll be connected to the Japanese Playstation Store where you’ll find the GT5 demo.
An IGN user, xheavenxentx posted some instructions on how to get through the sign up process. (The account you are creating is the one all the way on the left side of your PS3 dashboard, not the one on the right. You don’t need a valid address in Japan or a credit card.)
A note about using the Logitech G25 driving wheel with the demo, it’s works perfectly with no setup required. You’ll notice immediately that the H-shifter does work with the game. To switch to sequential shifting in the game, simply switch your G25′s shifter knob to sequential. The clutch pedal currently does nothing.
UPDATE: Clutch is confirmed to work with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue!
